Canadian Policy Research Networks

http://www.cprn.ca

The Canadian Policy Research Networks (CPRN) was founded in 1994 by Judith Maxwell with a mandate of “helping make Canada a more just, prosperous, and caring society.” The CPRN specializes in social and economic policy research, with a focus on the human aspects of economic policies. The CPRN is a private, non-partisan, non-profit organization. It aims to provide research and networking support, while creating an open dialogue for interested parties.

The CPRN brings together governments, non-governmental organizations, unions, academics, and other think tanks to discuss four policy ‘networks’ – Family, Health, Public Involvement, and Work. Its research themes range from aboriginal people to health renewal to labour markets. CPRN also publishes the Kids Canada Policy Digest, which outlines policies and programs relating to children and families in Canada.
