North Central in Regina: Keeping the Focus Where It Belongs

Community Story by Anne Makhoul

Action for Neighbourhood Change (ANC) is an initiative aimed at revitalizing five neighbourhoods across the country. ANC enabled residents to talk and envision a kind of community in which they wanted to live. It also helped them develop a plan to realize that vision.

Regina’s North Central neighbourhood was chosen for the project. In her article, Anne Makhoul summarizes the project’s progress between February 2005 and March 2006, detailing the perspectives of residents, organization representatives, and project staff who have laboured to enrich and revitalize the community.
