PAR-L (Policy, Action, Research List)

http://www.unb.ca/PAR-L

PARL-L was founded in 1995 as an e-mail list by the former Canadian Advisory Council on the Status of Women (CACSW). PARL-L (Policy, Action, Research List) currently operates from the University of New Brunswick as a bilingual, electronic network of individuals and organizations.

PARL-L is focused on women-centred issues in Canada and is a support community comprised of feminist researchers and activists in Canada. It has existed, on-line as a website, since 1996, receiving funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), Strategic Research Networks and the Women and Change Program since 1997.

The mission of PARL-L is to apply electronic technologies as a means of networking and sharing research and strategies for action. The resource is open to any individual or organization interested in discussing policy, action, and research on issues of concern to women in Canada. PAR-L is free, however, an e-mail account is required to join the list.
